In physics, kinetic is the word used to describe motion and movement. Kinetic sculpture is sculpture that moves. Some types of kinetic art rely on outside forces to move them, like air currents in the room, the breeze outside or even your finger. Other sculptures are propelled mechanically with motors and mechanisms.

I like to involve the viewer with my art work; to get the viewer to interact with the art. The art is not fully realized until someone moves it. The action of the viewer brings to life the flowing grace of the sculpture, causing it to sway in an ever changing pattern of movement.

The shapes in these sculptures are hand cut with a welding torch from sheet steel. The pieces are hand forged and shaped with a hammer and sweat. Then they are skillfully balanced and attached to a wall mounted frame. Each piece is finished with a brass patina and coated with a protective polyurethane.
